We are a full service painting and sandblasting shop. Our commitment to excellence in customer service, and the demand for our superior services, has taken us from the small, part-time company that was established in 1993, to the large, incorporated (1997) organization that we are today. Currently, between 30 and 35 staff are employed year round in order to keep up with the our customer's requirements.

Steve Marchbank, the president, owner, and founder of Paintability is a journeyman painter. He has utilized his years of experience as a foreman, sandblaster, bobcat operator, and welder, to help grow and promote this family run business. His skills, experience, and hard working approach to the trade have been key to making Paintability the success that it is today. Paintability is a family owned and run business.
Paintability is a full service sandblasting and painting shop. We keep up with the latest in technology, and guarantee that our work will both meet, and exceed, both customer and SSPC standards. We can make arrangements for third-party inspectors to look over the product as work is being done, should a customer require it, and we can do offshore specs as well.
At Paintability, we are committed to providing our customers with the ultimate in service. Typical turn around time for products worked on in our yard is seven days. Rush service can be arranged if you or your company need a piece of equipment completed sooner than usual.
After taking your product down to your blasting specs with our sandblasting equipment, we can finish it with just about any kind of coating that you require, including:

Since first opening our doors for business, we at Paintability have made a commitment to our employees, their families, and our customers, to provide a safe working environment. By keeping up with the latest in technology and safety procedures, we have dedicated ourselves to sending everyone home safely at the end of each and every work day.
At our company, our aim is to have our safety procedures maintained and adhered to by all workers and enforced by management. Employees participate in weekly toolbox meetings, ensuring that any questions or concerns are addressed in a timely fashion. We This group session is also a chance for staff to be reminded of the daily safety precautions that they need to employ in order to keep the workplace safe.
Regular updating of safety procedures and policies is done as new equipment and new methods are employed in the shop. New information is presented to the employees as a group, enabling them to ask questions and clarify any information that they feel is relevant. We have completed a professional safety manual (15 sections) and severities and frequencies of incidents are monitored monthly.
Visitors to the site must sign in and wear a visitor's badge when in the facility to make sure that they are accounted for, should an emergency arise. Visitors must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times in the shop or yard areas.
As part of our commitment to the safety of the workplace, employees are regularly trained in courses such as WHMIS Confined Space, St. John's First Aid, and H2S and forklift. Paintability is a member of The Manufacturing Health And Safety Association, where many of our workers receive their training. The company has a safety advisor leading and guiding us in preparation for eventually obtaining our COR.
All workplace related incidents are reported, and safety records maintained in accordance with WCB policies. WCB account number is #360867/0.
At Paintability, we can handle jobs of any shape and size up to 55' in length. Our two acre facility is located in Abild's Industrial Park on Hwy 2A between Okotoks and High River. The 7200 sq' shop has three 25'x 60' spray booths, as well as one booth that is used to work on smaller equipment and parts. To be certain that we can meet all of our customer's needs, the shop is fully equipped with both conventional, airless, and electrostatic spray systems.
We can arrange to have your pieces picked up and brought to our facility where we will restore used equipment to its original condition, or paint your newly manufactured products to your exact specifications. In order to keep our operations running smoothly and safely, we employ the following equipment in our yard:
* Forklift with a lifting capacity of 9000 lbs
* Small Electric Forklift used in shop
* Clark Forklift
* 1 – 2 tonne truck
* 1 – 1 tonne truck
* 40' JLG manlift
* John Deere Power Skid Steer w/ 9000 lb lifting capacity on forks
* Bobcat equipped with a forklift
* 1 enclosed equipment trailer
* 1 – 20' 5th wheel trailer
* 1 – 30' 5th wheel trailer
All of our painting and sandblasting equipment is carefully maintained and upgraded regularly in order to guarantee that we can meet the needs of our customers. Equipment we utilize includes:
